Alamanda Polymers was formed in 2007 to satisfy a previously unmet need in the marketplace. With more than 15 years experience in the synthesis of polyamino acids, our scientists have developed a polymerization process that enables complete control over the molecular weight of the resulting polyamino acids without the use of metal catalysts. Moreover, the process results in highly monomodal products (polydispersity index: 1.01-1.2). Our process produces polypeptides and PEGylated polypeptides of effectually exact chain lengths with batch-to-batch consistency thus allowing the products to contain polyamino acids of narrowly specified length rather than a broad mixture.
We currently offer batch sizes up to 5Kg of the most commonly used homopolyamino acids. Furthermore, our catalogue contains PEGylated block co-polyamino acids as well as side- and end-functionalized homopolyamino acids that have never before been commercially available. We also provide our expertise in polyamino acid chemistry or custom-synthesis services for contract research.
